With a new patch appearing for Living in front of 5 on Steam, Capcom has made the multiplayer portion of online co-op play on Steam with friends much easier. This is due to the removal of the Games for Windows Live service. It used to be that joining a co-op game with Steam friends was a pain in the ass. The most reliable way before this patch was to find your friend’s session via the “Join Game” menu and enter the correct settings for their game.

However, with the new patch, it’s as simple as going to your Steam friends list and right-clicking your friend’s username to enter their game. Players will no longer have to navigate in-game menus on Living in front of 5 to play co-op online with your Steam friends. That said, you’ll need to make sure your game is at least on the home screen before trying to join them.

From there, once your friend accepts your request, you can enter their game. For the person hosting the game, if you are in the middle of a chapter, you will need to access the pause menu and select ” Restart” so that your friend can pass. You will have to restart this chapter from the most recent one. checkpoint, but at least you’ll have your friend with you!

Living in front of 5 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and on PC via Steam.
