A donut shop in the town of Norwalk became the perfect place for a customer to become a millionaire.

The California Lottery announced that the ticket for five of the six Mega Millions numbers had been sold at Home Style Donuts, located at 12840 Pioneer Blvd. in Norwalk.

The winner matched the numbers 55-1-38-23-7 and only the mega number 2 was missing. The lucky winner can claim the $2.2 million prize.

” It’s good news. They made my day, it’s really great. We are lucky!” said An Chao, owner of Home Style Donuts.

Chao said his family had owned the store for a year and it was the biggest lottery ticket they had ever sold.

Home Style Donuts has been in the Norwalk community for 20 years and will receive an $11,483 bonus for the sale of the winning ticket.

No one won the Mega Millions jackpot on Tuesday, March 14, bringing the jackpot prize pool to $254 million.

The next draw will take place this Friday at 8 p.m.
