Tired of waiting for Overwatch 2 news? It looks like the information should be released soon!

Announced at BlizzCon 2019, Overwatch 2 hasn’t revealed much since. Apart from a demo and a few snippets of information, we don’t have much to put in our mouths. This wait should finally come to an end, as one of the developers has decided to speak out.

Overwatch 2 PvE mode announcements are coming

Seagulla former professional gamer turned Overwatch content creator, asked Jared Neuss in PvE mode during a broadcast. While we expected a rather confused silence or an outright denial from the executive producer; the latter actually spoke.

Neither one nor two, Jared Neuss kept announcing that the announcements were imminent. He confirmed that these were not “Blizzard-like” announcements, so they could take several months to come out. Jared Neuss specifies that announcements will arrive very soon, in particular concerning the release date of the long-awaited mode. We can therefore expect to see them appear in the coming weeks.

This announcement could be accompanied by a new story trailer which could well be released with a little more context on the events that will take place in the game. We can also expect a gameplay video with a detailed presentation of a campaign mission.

At the moment we know that the PvE mode of Overwatch 2 will be a story campaign where it will be possible to embody predefined heroes. Events take place in the present, at least in game time. Also note that you won’t be able to change the course of history, much like the Archives or the Halloween event, you won’t be able to change the course of the story. The only thing you can do is progress as you please. The gameplay will be very different, as you can adjust the talent tree of your heroes to your liking.
