The 19-year-old Venezuelan national is believed to belong to the criminal gang “Los Gallegos” of the “Tren de Aragua,” which continues its operations in Peru from abroad (Pan American).
Human trafficking mafias continue to operate in Peru. However, this time, the Foreign Crime Squad of the Peruvian National Police (PNP) dealt a blow to one of the gangs linked to “Los Gallegos” of the “Tren de Aragua,” led by the Venezuelan Eglismar Andreína Reyes Sojo (19), alias “Andrea.”
According to PNP investigations, this group of criminals imposed quotas on transgender sex workers in various districts of the capital. Those who refused to comply with the request of the Venezuelan-led group ended up being cruelly murdered, as happened with Juan Aníbal Torres Silvano, who died after being hit with more than 15 balls in Carabayllo.
A heated discussion recorded in a clip between two women was the key evidence in finding the whereabouts of Andreina Reyes Sojo, the Venezuelan who sowed terror and panic among sex workers in Peru. The police already had her in their sights.
Known in the underworld as “Andrea,” the young woman is known to have been among the stragglers who left “Los Gallegos” of the “Train of Aragua,” a foreign criminal gang whose leaders are said to have fled to other countries to spend the money they earned through extortion in Peru.
This clan not only extorted money but also trafficked in human beings.
“During the investigations, it was technically established that this person had a heated discussion a few days before the murder recorded in Carabayllo and Chorrillos,” said Colonel PNP Víctor Revoredo, head of the Homicide Division.
A few days before the death of several sex workers, “Andrea” collected quotas in the shred Zepita, located in downtown Lima, an area where sex work is practiced in large numbers.
According to Revoredo, the discussion is happening because people who work in sex are resisting the payment of quotas that Church of Andreina she asked them, besides being in charge of collecting the quotas.
Sex worker activist Ángela Villón said at least 80 sex workers have been murdered in the past 12 months.
Despite her young age, the Venezuelan Reyes Sojo had a criminal record in her native Venezuela. These were the police, the prosecutors, and the judiciary:
- Trafficking in persons
- Link to extortion
- Hitman
The PNP clarified that the masterminds of the crimes against people linked to sex work in Carabayllo are “Los Gallegos.” They would continue to operate in Peru, but from another country.
Who are the visible names of “Los Gallegos”? According to Colonel Víctor Revoredo, the best-known pseudonyms are “Leo Dakota,” Omar Huito, and “Mamera.”
Without any shame, the 19-year-old boy showed through videos the life full of luxury he led, just like his colleagues in the underworld. The money was raised through extortion and bloodstains.
On February 14, a terrible murder was revealed. The streets of Carabayllo woke up stained with blood as a transgender sex worker was cruelly shot with more than 15 gunshots.
It was early Monday morning that a car with tinted windows arrived at Avenida Santo Domingo, Las Dalias Association, and shot Juan Aníbal Torres Silvano (31) at close range for refusing to perform the payment of the quota demanded by the extortionists.
With this, they sought to intimidate other sex workers who were unwilling to pay “the fee” for the extortion.
