Their active participation, dialogue and contributions will be essential for this direction”, he assured in the published document.

She also highlighted her experience in the gender approach, since one of her objectives is to promote the right of women to a life free from violence, a task she has carried out in the formulation of public policies and protocols. attention to victims, she also ensured:
“As a Colombian, I experienced firsthand the internal armed conflict in our country. Throughout my work for more than 16 years, at the National Institute of Forensic Medicine, I have grown from doctor at the local unit of Yarumal (Antioquia) to general manager. I know the crime of disappearance from the register of the missing, the practice of autopsies on unidentified corpses, the design and implementation of data collection systems on different forms of violence, and epidemiological and social research.

Light Janeth Forero Martinez She is a surgeon from the University of Antioquia, a specialist in epidemiology from the Universidad del Rosario and a doctor in legal sociology and political institutions from the Externado de Colombia University.
She was the first woman to lead Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Sciences.
