In Game Informer’s latest quick interview, Resident Evil 4 Remake Producer Yoshiaki Kirabayoshi and Director Yasuhiro Ampo discussed various serious and silly elements related to the game. The chainsaw (and chainsaw man) appeared several times. As part of this, Kirabayoshi noted that there was a desire to revisit the peripheral released alongside the original game, saying, “We wanted to make one.” (Thanks, Game Informer!)
Here is the exact quote from Kirabayoshi. Refers to the special chainsaw controller released for the GameCube and PS2 versions of Resident Evil 4.
We wanted to do one, but we’re already putting everything we have into developing the game. We may be able to look at that another time if there’s a future opportunity.
You can hear the answer to the question whether a Resident Evil 4 Remake The chainsaw driver could appear at 5:11 of the Game Informer interview below. Both also noted that they had never used a chainsaw in real life before.
Ampo also said he thought the Resident Evil 4 Chainsaw Men would win in a fight with Chainsaw Man, as there are several in the game.
Resident Evil 4 The new version will arrive on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam on March 24, 2023.
