The Tenerife Carnival of 2023 is already underway and the starting signal was given by the celebration of the last night of Wednesday February 15 of the 2023 Carnival Queen Gala, one of the most anticipated ceremonies of this colorful and fun party in which the candidate Adriana Peño Fumero was named Grand Queen of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
There Tenerife conquered the public and the jury wearing an incredible fantasy signed Santi Castro in blue, white and gold which formed mosaics reminiscent of those seen on the streets of Portugal, and which, how could it be otherwise, had been baptized ‘Lisbon’.
Adriana Peño has been chosen as the main face of the island’s capital carnival in a unique gala presented by Laura Alonso and Alexis Hernández and broadcast by RTVC, which some of the most beloved artists in the archipelago did not want to miss, such as Nia, Carlos Rivera and the rappers K-narias.
The Queen’s Courtyard
Although Adriana was chosen by public vote, she wasn’t the only contestant to receive the Carnival Queen Gala. As honorary members of her court, the jury and the spectators have chosen Marta Santana Rodríguez, with the fantasy ‘Historia de una Reina’, designed by Alexis Santana, who will be the fourth maid of honor; to Carmen Luna Hibner Hernández, with the fantasy “A sea of conscience”, conceived by Alfonso Baute, who will be the queen’s third lady; Laura Fernández Ruíz, with the fantasy “Así soy” by Sedomír Rodríguez de la Sierra, who will be the second lady; and as Hirisley Jiménez Marrero’s first bridesmaid, with Daniel Pages’ fantasy ‘Metamorphosis’.
