A painter in search
Marta de la fuente is a young artist who has already performed in her own exhibitions. As she herself said in they speak, “for me painting is a way to disconnect from everything. When I paint, I totally abstract myself from reality, I enter my world, I put on the music I like and it’s the only time I really escape”.
“At my first exhibition, I received very positive feedback. I didn’t have high expectations and it turned out to be a huge boost of energy and confidence. From there, I started to take painting a little more seriously and devote myself more to it. The biggest fear I have is that this loophole will become an obligation or a pressure and that I will stop enjoying it as much.“, testifies to his passion.
“I’m not sure who I want to be as an artist, but I’m clear I want to do this for myself. Developing my style and what I want to tell by painting what inspires me the most. Continue to explore, know and trace this path in the most natural and authentic way“, he assures on his identity as an artist.
A vocation that runs in the family. “Art comes from my parents. My father drew and my mother painted all her life.. I grew up surrounded by impressionist works and she taught me how to paint from an early age. I think the style I apply to my works comes from my childhood. These family or intimate moments and the strange characters that I’m used to seeing in town, that’s what I try to reflect in my paintings,” she explains.
“I like to draw unique people, play a lot with colors, skin, nudes…and every time I want to experiment more”, he confesses and it is clear that this cover is the result of this style that he is finding.
