Pharaoh: A New Era will feature both the base version content of the original and the Cleopatra – Queen of the Nile expansion. The developers not only improved the visuals, but also modernized the user interface and introduced many promising improvements in the game, making it easier to build cities and manage minions.
The premiere of the game raises a lot of expectations. Impression Games’ titles remain some of the best city builders ever created to this day. In recent years we’ve seen attempts to recreate its magic in new titles, the best example being 2021’s Nabuchadnezzar, but none of the clones have managed to match the original. Today, Pharaoh will be back in new clothes, and we hope he lives up to the hype.
Finally, it is worth mentioning the system requirements for the PC version of the game.
Update previous episodes of the series with mods.
If Pharaoh: A New Era proves successful, remakes of other installments in the series may also be in development. Until then, it’s worth checking out the fan projects that improve on the classics:
- Caesar 3: Julius – the project recreates the game on a new improved engine, which provides more pleasant graphics and full compatibility with modern PCs and operating systems.
- Caesar 3: Augustus – A side project that does the same thing as Julius, but also features lots of gameplay improvements.
- Zeus and Poseidon Full HD and Zeus and Poseidon Resolution Customiser: two projects that allow you to play Zeus in ultra-wide resolutions.
- Emperor Widescreen Patch: A similar project, but for Emperor: Rise of The Middle Kingdom.
