Endnight’s new survival game Sons of the Forest has topped Steam’s wish board ahead of even Bethesda RPG Starfield as we look to the future to fly, build, explore and fight for our lives once that the next Sons of the Forest release date will finally arrive
Endnight previously revealed that it would be releasing Sons of the Forest in early access, rather than further delaying the full release. By adding NPC companions, including a fearsome mutant, as well as gunfights and new build and crafting options, Sons of the Forest feels like a solid sequel to a horror game. Sons of the Forest multiplayer will also offer support for up to eight players and will be available from day one.
This all sounds promising, and Steam gamers seem to agree. As of this writing, Sons of the Forest sits at the top of Steam’s wish chart, ahead of Bethesda’s RPG Starfield at number two. Meanwhile, survival game The Day Before has been taken down entirely, after its Steam page was delisted due to a mysterious copyright claim.
Hopefully this means there will be plenty of people to play with when Sons of the Forest launches, with an active user base that will hopefully encourage Endnight to add features and changes to complete the game. as quickly as possible. However, with the Starfield release date also on the horizon, you can expect Bethesda’s open-world game to be a mainstay on Steam for some time to come. It looks like a good year for gaming so far.
