Chihuahua- This week the Autonomous University of Chihuahua, through its University Council, will determine who will be the directors of the five faculties that are still pending. Until Friday, ten directors had already been defined.
According to information from the UACH, this day is not scheduled to hold a session of the University Council, but as of tomorrow it is feasible that the short lists that are pending to be voted on will be presented.
The Faculties that have yet to determine who will be the next director are: Fine Arts, Agriculture and Forestry, Sciences of Physical Culture, Nursing and Nutrition, and Zootechnics. This week the elections will be held in the University Council.
Once they have the 15 directors, the next event will be the swearing-in of Luis Rivera Campos as rector.
The rector Jesús Villalobos Jión notified the members of the University Council that last week he received an injunction against the election of the rector Luis Alfonso Rivera Campos, for which the swearing-in scheduled for the beginning of October is suspended, until response to the judgment of guarantees.
At the beginning of the session, the rector told the counselors that it was a teacher from the Faculty of Law who filed the amparo.
“He notified the University Council that we received an injunction where they are suing each and every one of the counselors in particular that we voted in the election of teacher Rivera Campos for rector,” he said.
