Violent beating of a young man in Formosa: a mob kicked him in the head and attacked him with a stick

The images are wild and recall the memory of the crime of Fernando Baez Sosa, murdered in 2020 in Villa Gesell. This time the setting was the province of Formosa, where a young man also was the victim of a violent beating in the hands of several people and was hospitalized. So far there is one inmate.

The attack took place this Monday in the early hours of the morning in Plaza San Martín, in the heart of the city of Colorado, located about 150 kilometers west of the capital Formosa, for reasons that are still under investigation. With this scenario as a backdrop, and seeing that there was not much else to attack, the attackers gave up pursuing the beatings and left the scene in peace, despite the fact that the police station local was a few meters away.

“The young man was first attended to at El Colorado Hospital and then transferred to a more complex sanatorium in the provincial capital. Due to the fact that there is currently an arrested person charged with the crime of serious injuries“said the commissioner, who indicated that all the actors in the sequence are older, with ages ranging from 18 and 24 years old. “They are all from the city,” added the policeman.

Duarte pointed out that investigators are conducting during these hours an in-depth analysis of the video recorded by the witness -key in the case- and “gather information with the testimony of people who were, in a circumstantial way, on the scene of the event”.

“The boys had been intercepted and the fight had started. There was no theft and nothing was taken. Now who is in charge of the case is Formosa Examining and Correctional Judge No. 4,” the commissioner said.

The victim’s friend, after asking the police for help and calling the ambulance, was rescued on the spot because he was also beaten: he was diagnosed with minor injuries to his arm.
