An earthquake of magnitude 7.3 shook the northern Philippines in the early hours of Wednesday, July 27.

The 7.3-magnitude quake was reportedly centered in the Abra province of the Philippines, causing damage and people fleeing buildings in the capital city, the Associated Press reported.

So far no victims have been reported. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, several aftershocks hit the province after the initial quake.

The earthquake started at a depth of 25 kilometers, causing cracks in buildings, houses and beaches.

It was started due to a local fault that caused some damage and caused people to flee from buildings in the capital.
