A group of anti-vaccine protesters on Monday tried to raid a former BBC studio in the White City district of west London, where a crowd protested against mandatory vaccination against the coronavirus, health passports and vaccines for children.

The images showed dozens of protesters gathered in the well-known Shepherds Bush Green, before marching towards the building.

As reported The Independent, in one of the shared videos a man can be heard in the crowd saying: “I may go to the BBC, It seems that we go where the boys of White City “.

The shared videos show the crowd outside the old television center, which has a heavy police presence. There they try to break into the building, but the police reject them.

The complex in White City was the headquarters of BBC Television until 2013, when broadcasting ceased after show production moved to various other sites in the UK, including Broadcasting House in central London and Media City in Salford.

Since then, much of the complex has been converted into residential apartments.

The Indepentent specifies that the building the protesters tried to enter was that of BBC Studioworks, a business arm of the corporation that has retained and operated several studios in White City since 2017.

According to the medium, BBC Studioworks it currently subleases two of its White City studios to the ITV channel for the production of daytime shows, including Good Morning Britain and Lorraine.

Meanwhile, the portal Evening Standard reported that a spokesman for the London Metropolitan Police assured that they were “aware of a group of protesters gathered outside a business in Wood Lane, White City. “
