Uruguay this Monday added 63 deaths from the covid-19 and there are already 1,971 deaths from this disease, according to the National Emergency System (Sinae), which added that 519 people are in intensive care.

In addition, this Monday 2,297 new cases of covid-19 were also detected in 11,273 analyzes and, since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, 1,641,855 tests have been processed and 167,033 positive cases of the SARS coronavirus have been registered -CoV-2 (28,758 are active).

Of the 2,297 new cases, the most affected department (province) continues to be Montevideo with 1,023 cases, followed by Canelones with 297 and Rivera with 117.

The 63 deceased on this day were people between 49 and 94 years old.

Currently, 18 of the 19 departments of the country are in the red zone according to the Harvard index, accumulating more than 25 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last seven days.

The most affected are Artigas (north), with 140.62 index and Soriano (southwest) with 117.62.

The only one that has managed to leave this area that, until this Sunday, invaded the entire country, is Durazno (center), which reached an index of 20.34.

With regard to vaccination, 1,072,573 people have been inoculated with the first dose from the Chinese pharmaceutical companies Coronavac, the Anglo-Swedish AstraZeneca or the American Pfizer and 321,772 the second from Pfizer or Coronavac.

So far, 30.59% of the population has received at least the first dose while 9.18% has completed the inoculation.
