INTERNATIONAL DRAFTING.- Two people were killed and a third injured in a shooting Sunday at a 24-hour convenience store and gas station in Maryland, police said.

The Baltimore County Police Department was investigating whether the shooting at a Royal Farms store was related to a fire and other shootings that occurred 15 minutes later at a nearby apartment complex, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The person shot at the compound had a gunshot wound that appeared to be self-inflicted, police said. The newspaper reported that in the parking lot there was a body covered with a tarp and that an apartment in the complex was badly burned.

Robert Reason, a spokesman for the Baltimore County Police Department, said he was unable to release further information about the shootings at this time.

“We are not confirming that any incidents are related,” he told The Associated Press. “Right now we are basically waiting for the investigators to do their part, do their research and then contact us and update us on the confirmed information they have.”

Breahna Brown, a spokeswoman for Royal Farms, said the company had no comment at this time about the shooting at its store.
