The official Twitter support account reported what happened and explained the origin of the problem in a message posted on its profile. “Some parts of Twitter may not work properly. We made an internal change that had unintended consequences,” the post claimed.
About 45 minutes after the tweet was posted, the Twitter support account said the social network was currently working normally after fixing the issue, though it didn’t specify which change triggered the app to malfunction.
