SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Klay Thompson scored 27 points and hit the go-ahead 3-pointer as the Golden State Warriors capped a perfect homestand by beating the New Orleans Pelicans 108-99 on Friday night.
The Warriors went 5-0 in those home games despite the absence of injured star Stephen Curry. Thus, they have established themselves in their playoff position within the disputed Western Conference.
Jonathan Kuminga added 19 off-reserve points to help the Warriors overcome a 17-point first-half deficit. Golden State has risen from double-digit deficits to win the last four games – the first time they have done so since at least the 1997-98 season.
CJ McCollum scored 25 points and Brandon Ingram added 17 for New Orleans, which has lost five of six games.
