The fox, which has often represented trickery in children’s tales or fables, once again demonstrated why it is one of the most intelligent animals in the world by managing to steal a portion of food from a stray cat.

A security camera in the UK has captured the moment a stray cat was enjoying its dinner – leftovers someone had left for it in a container – when it is suddenly startled by a fox.

The images, shared by ViralHog, and which are already circulating on social media, show the reaction of the puzzled cat, which puffs its tail, roars and slaps the fox a few times, which eventually manages to get away with taking a piece of chicken

After the fox disappeared into the bushes, the cat continued to eat as if nothing had scared him before.
