As part of the investigations into the four US citizens what were they kidnapped in MatamorosTamaulipas, the authorities of this State succeeded in insure property and a vehicle who were allegedly connected to the case.
According to the Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office, it is a ambulance which would have been used to transport Latavia McGee, Shaeed Woodard, Zindell Brown and Erick James Williams, after their deprivation of liberty on March 3.
Likewise, it was possible to obtain a clinical where they allegedly took the four Americans to presumably receive medical attention and first aid. “For this purpose, they were taken on board an ambulance, which was guaranteed to continue the investigations,” it was detailed.
Elements of the National Coordination for the Fight against Kidnappings (Conase), the Secretariat for Citizen Security and Protection (SSPC), as well as the General Prosecutor’s Office participated in these actions. The clinic and the ambulance were presented as evidence which will be included in the surveys.
Although the Tamaulipas prosecutor’s office did not reveal the name of the clinic, reports from Millennium indicated that the authorities ensured the Spanish medical center, located on Sendero Avenue in the border town of Matamoros. It is presumed that two of the United States citizens were checked there. Recall that James Williams was found shot and wounded in one of his legs.
As for the ambulance, it would be a civil protection unit Canton. For this reason, the authorities conducted a review of its facilities, without reporting any detainees during these actions.
On March 7 – the day the U.S. citizens were located – Tamaulipas Attorney General Irving Barrios Mojica said the victims had been moved to different parts of town in an attempt to overthrow the authorities about his whereabouts, although he did not specify which sites it was.
Likewise, he announced that, based on the investigations carried out to date, the main line of inquiry was a possible confusionthat is why he ruled out that it was a question of a direct aggression against the North Americans.
“There are different lines of research. The origins for which the facts could have occurred have been widely commented on. However, all these exchanges of information have reinforced the line that it was a confusion, not a direct attack. It is the most viable and surely the most correct”, explained the public prosecutor of Tamaulipas.
He added that the reason for his trip to Mexican territory was for a aesthetic procedure to which Latavia McGee would submit, who managed to survive with James Williams. Both were handed over to US authorities and transferred to a hospital in Brownsville, Texas. For their part, Shaeed Woodard and Zindell Brown lost their lives after the kidnapping.
