An arrest warrant was circulating against the president of Cartagena for contempt of guardianship in favor of the local mayor, Andy Reales.

On Monday, February 13, it was learned that Cartagena’s first circuit judge, Fredy Machado, had canceled an arrest warrant issued against the mayor of that city, Guillaume Dau.

The decision was made because the local president of the capital of the department of Bolívar would have incurred contempt

The move came amid a dispute the president is waging with Andy Realeslocal president who has an open investigation for alleged irregularities committed during his administration.

It should be mentioned that on Monday, February 6, the Sixth Municipal Criminal Judge of Cartagena issued a contempt decision against Dau Chamat for not complying with the guardianship decision in which he was ordered to return Reales.
