They arrest a prison guard who offered oral sex to inmates in exchange for good behavior reports

a guard of Buenos Aires Prison Service (SPB) was arrested by the DDI of La Plata of the Buenos Aires police, accused of simple sexual abuse and sexual abuse with carnal access, two figures aggravated for having occurred during their work and for having had the victims in their custody. The penitentiary, the prosecution alleges, abused prisoners in its charge in exchange for giving them benefits. The case was discovered after the revelation of a video in which he was seen performing oral sex on one of the detainees of Unit No. 18 in Gorina, in the La Plata region, where it served, from the sources of the file to GlobeLiveMedia.

The defendant, identified as VEO, a 43-year-old sub-prefect, was denounced by SPB Home Affairs, in August last year, after the importance that the social media abuse images.

According to the investigators, the abuses were verified on the basis of various pieces of evidence that were reflected in the case in the hands of the UFI 16 of La Plata.

According to his file, the prison guard, who joined the SPB in July 2004 and was promoted in 2018, fulfilled the role of “coordinator of technical training and trades”. According to sources in the case, the accused offered “good grades in reports” in exchange for oral sex. Good grades in prison reports are essential for an inmate, evaluated by Justice when analyzing a constraint request, such as a probation.

He was arrested a few days ago by the DDI of La Plata, during the raid on the house where he lives, in Calle Diagonal 4 between 423 and 424. The measure was requested by the public prosecutor’s office and ordered by the judge of guarantees Eduardo Silva Pelosi, who is intervening in the case.

Later, VEO was housed in the cells of this Buenos Aires police unit. Sources familiar with the matter said that in addition to abuse, they are investigating to impute the figure of “gravity, constraints and vexations», provided for in article 144 bis of the Penal Code.

As noted, the detained SPB officer worked at his post until the day of his arrest. The sources could not clarify whether the abused detainees were placed under protective custody.
