The Portland Tower in south-east London is the setting for this series which begins the search for a murderer

La Torre (The Towerits original name) is one of the most interesting English mini-series of recent years since, beyond being a detective, it reveals many current problems that have not yet been resolved.

The story of this series, which has only three episodes, begins when detective Sarah Collins (played by Gemma Whelan, known for her role as Yara Greyjoy in Game Of Thrones) and his partner Steve Bradshaw (played by Jimmy Akingbola) are summoned following an alleged accident at the Portland Tower in south-east London. Upon arriving at the scene, they will discover a horrific event. At the bottom of the tower, at its base, lie on the ground the bodies of Farah Meheni (Lola Elsokari), a 15-year-old girl, and Hadley Matthews (Nick Holder), a police veteran.

Then, the detective goes up to the top floor of the tower and meets Ben, a little boy of just 5 years old, a policeman named Lizzie Adama (Tahirah Sharif) and his boss, Kieran Shaw (Emmett J Scanlan). Immediately Lizzie disappears from the scene which arouses great suspicion. What relationship do the police have with these deaths? Sarah and Steve will focus all the spotlight on this role and will also gather evidence on the past of each of the actors in this case.

The series had a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was very successful in its first installment. This is why fiction has achieved a revival which will take the name of The Tower II: Death Message. In it, Lizzie returns to her duties at Farlow Station, where her boss Kieran Shaw hooks her up with Arif Johar (Michael Karim).

Saraha for her part has been transferred to another Homicide unit where her boss asks her to reopen the case of Tania, a girl who disappeared in 1997 on the day of Diana Spencer’s funeral, Lady Di.
