In the latest video circulating on social media, one of the planes involved in the incident is seen with bullet holes in the tail.
Citizen surveys have revealed for months a worrying rise in the feeling of insecurity in Chilean society.
The foundation Citizen Peace published last October that the fear of being the victim of a crime has increased 7.6%reaching a 28% nationally, the highest number in 22 years.
