The National Court has agreed that Repsol president Antonio Brufau and former Caixabank president Isidro Fainé testify as investigated in the framework of an alleged spying case, the court said in a release.

The decision comes after the request of the Anti-corruption Prosecutor’s Office a few days ago. Brufau and Fainé are being investigated for an alleged crime of active bribery due to their relationship with former police commissioner José Manuel Villarejo.

Repsol and Caixabank declined to comment.
