The official trailer for ‘The Little Mermaid’ has been released almost two months after its theatrical release

Nearly two months after its launch in theaters around the world, Disney has shared the official trailer for the film directed by Rob Marshall (Mary Poppins Returns) and written by David Magee (an extraordinary adventure). The preview reviews the story’s best-known situations: Ariel saves Prince Eric when his ship is destroyed in a storm, the argument she has with her father, and the deceptive pact with the evil Ursula.

“Ariel, the youngest and most defiant of King Triton’s daughters, longs to learn more about the world beyond the sea, and while visiting the surface, she falls in love with the handsome Prince Eric. While he is forbidden for mermaids to interact with humans, Ariel must follow her heart, she makes a deal with the wicked sea witch, Úrsula, who gives her the chance to experience life on earth, but ultimately puts her life and crowns her of his father in danger.

Actress and singer Halle Bailey was cast in 2019 for the role primarily for vocal performance to perform the original theme songs from The little Mermaid. His selection drew criticism at the time for not having the same skin color as the original character, and on social media he was attacked with racist comments.
