Two years have passed since the death of Emiliano Sala. The Argentine forward, who had signed for Cardiff in the winter market, He was traveling from Nantes to England when the plane carrying him crashed in the English Channel. The Argentine’s family has issued a statement heartbreaking on the second anniversary of his death.

The footballer’s family wants an investigation into his death, because at the moment there are no answers about it. In October of last year, David Henderson (pilot involved in the case), pleaded not guilty to two criminal charges related to this death. The body of the Argentine was found. That of Dave Ibbotson, the 59-year-old pilot who transferred him, was never found. The trial against Henderson has been postponed and will begin on October 18, 2021.
