Audax-RJ beat Resende by two goals in the match played this Wednesday for the 11th date of the Brazil – Carioca Championship 2023 tournament. The visitor’s goals were scored by Emerson Urso (30′ 2T) and Higor Leite (36′ 2T) .

Lucas Mota put in a great performance. Defender Audax-RJ was important for pushing away 2 dangerous balls.

Higor Leite also performed well. The Audax-RJ midfielder scored 1 goal and was encouraged to shoot 3 times.

It was a duel that was stopped, due to the high accumulation of offenses on the pitch. There were a large number of warnings: Romarinho, Kaique, Hiago, Dener, Levi, Pablo Thomaz and Khevin. Hiago was sent off after receiving his second yellow card in the 61st minute of the second half.

Resende manager Sandro Sargentim presented a tactical 3-4-3 setup with Jefferson in goal; Hiago, Rayne and Kaique on the defensive line; Medina, Khevin, Dener and Geovani in the middle; and Igor Bolt, Vinicius Balotelli and Bismarck in attack.

Meanwhile, Caio Couto Gonçalves’ side came out with a 4-3-3 tactical arrangement with Leandro under the three sticks; Lucas Mota, Igor Silva, Thomás and Kaio Cristian in defense; Romarinho, Valderrama and Higor Leite in midfield; and Levi, Pablo Thomaz and Emerson Urso up front.

Felipe da Silva Gonçalves Paludo was the chosen referee for the match at Municipal de Resende.
