March will be a month full of releases for Star+, from exclusive movies to the launch of new TV series. Among the highlights are The Boston Strangler, Ringo: Glory and Death and historical drama The cry of butterflies. In addition, the Argentine singer Lali Espósito will arrive for the first time in the Star Live cycle with a live presentation of the “Disciplina Tour” at the Vélez Sarsfield stadium in Buenos Aires.

The Magician – March 1

The film follows the story of Miguel (Rodrigo Noya), a 22-year-old boy who is abandoned by his girlfriend on their wedding night; and Jimmy (Luis Cao), an eccentric rocker with emotional stability issues. Still not knowing each other, both decide to commit suicide, however, their plans change when an unexpected situation makes their paths cross.

Lali: Discipline Tour in Vélez – March 4

In a new episode of the “Star+ Live” cycle, the “Disciplina tour” comes live and direct to Star+ by Argentinian singer, songwriter and actress Lali Esposito. The transmission will take place from the Vélez Sarsfield stadium in Buenos Aires, one of the largest in the Argentine capital, with seats completely sold out.

The Mad History of the World: Part 2 – March 6

Mel Brooks, Wanda Sykes, Nick Kroll and Ike Barinholtz star in this comedy is the sequel to the 1981 Mel Brooks film, The crazy story of the world. The first two episodes will be released, then two new ones each day.

The Tangalanga Method – March 8

Set in Buenos Aires in 1962, this comedy focuses on the moment when the life of shy corporate employee Jorge Rizzi (Martín Piroyansky) takes a turn when he participates in a hypnosis session that frees him from his inhibitions. This experience brings to light his wild and seductive alter ego: Doctor Tangalanga.

The cry of the butterflies – March 8

A historical drama in 13 episodes inspired by real events, rigorously depicting life on an island dominated by the tyrannical regime of dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo, alias “el Chivo”, who governed the Dominican Republic from 1930 until his assassination in 1961. In this context, the story focuses on the friendship between the young Spanish immigrant Arantxa Oyamburu and Minerva Mirabal, a well-known Dominican political activist who, together with her sisters, received the nickname “the butterflies”.

The Boston Strangler – March 17

Loretta McLaughlin (Keira Knightley), a reporter for the Record-American newspaper, becomes the first reporter to link the Boston Strangler murders. As the mysterious killer claims more and more victims, Loretta tries to continue her investigation with her colleague and confidant Jean Cole (Carrie Coon), but the duo are hampered by the sexism of the day. Nonetheless, McLaughlin and Cole bravely press on, risking their own lives in their quest to uncover the truth.

The Invisible Girl – March 22

Television fiction that tells the story of a father and his daughter who are or are involved in the investigation of the murder of a teenager during the summer festivities of Cárdena, a peaceful town in Andalusia, which will be the suffocating backdrop in which all townspeople will be suspect. Kindred: Secrets and Roots – March 29

Dana James (Mallori Johnson), an aspiring young African-American writer, breaks her family obligations and moves to Los Angeles, determined to claim her right to a future she feels is hers for the first time. But before she can settle into her new home, she is violently swept away in time and emerges on a 19th-century plantation, a place intimately connected to her and her family.
