The Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico announced on February 25 that during the security device put in place during the music festival “EDC 2023”, the members of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI) of the Secretariat of the Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico and the SSC, succeeded in arresting three women possibly involved in criminal acts at the Hermanos Rodríguez Racecourse, at the Town Hall iztacalco.

The first support came when festival security officers were summoned by a man who named someone as the person likely responsible for stealing his mobile device, with an estimated value of 25,000 pesos for which the police arrested a 30-year-old woman, identified as the possible perpetrator.

The object was located for the person involved and eleven mobile telephone devices were also seized which she hid among her clothes, the origin or legal ownership of which she could not verify.

The next arrest came when troops inspected the belongings of another 35-year-old woman, who was singled out by a concertgoer, who accused her of taking a cellphone from him, which was found among his clothes.

Another action took place when a man asked the police for help since a woman who was running meters in front of him had just taken her mobile phone from her trouser pocket, for which she was arrested and after having carried out a preventive inspection, it was found a mobile device that the person concerned recognized as his property.

Similarly, seizures of narcotics were made, the CSE highlighted the arrest of a young man in possession of 68 doses of medication possible during EDC 2023.

Elements of the Banking and Industrial Police (PBI), of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Mexico City, arrested a 22-year-old man who assured different types of drugs and two mobile phone equipment.

The authorities clarified that “the arrest took place in the aforementioned facilities, where the electronic music concert took place, located in the neighborhood of Granjas México, at the town hall of Iztacalco, where the PBI agents carried out duties surveillance and security,” the document reads.

The SSC troops were in the northern tubular area of ​​the scene, when they noticed that a person was acting in an unusual way, who, after noticing the presence of the authority, tried to flee, therefore, to exclude a possible criminal act, the elements of the security approached and asked for an examination.

It is at this moment that the discovery of 20 psychotropic pills in blue plastic, 14 blue sachets containing a white powder with the characteristics of cocaine16 doses apparently of the drug known as LCD, 14 cigarettes made from possible marijuana, three plastic packages with possible crystal and a bottle with a strong smelling colorless liquid popularly identified as Poppers.
