Madrid, 18 Feb. Reprimanded last Sunday in the 0-1 victory against Celta for having made “the gesture of checking the VAR” to the referee, the presence of Diego Simeone, coach of Atlético de Madrid, on the bench of the Santiago Bernabéu during next Saturday’s derby against Real Madrid is in danger; to a penalty card for five yellow cycles, like Nahuel Molina, Reinildo Mandaba and Geoffrey Kondogbia.
The four of them will face this Sunday’s clash against Athletic Club at the Cívitas Metropolitano stadium, in which Molina and Reinildo will start from the starting line-up. They are the two starting full-backs, on the right and left respectively, in the scheme of Diego Simeone’s last games.
Kondogbia, meanwhile, will start the encounter as a substitute, as in his team’s last five official matches. His last appearance in the XI was in the 0-2 Copa del Rey Round of 16 win over Levante on January 18. In the last two (0-1 against Celta and 1-1 against Getafe), he hasn’t played a minute.
