At least four people were killed Friday in a fire at a major hospital in the Romanian capital Bucharest, where a COVID-19 patient is also being treated, authorities said.
The fire started at dawn on the ground floor of the hospital and forced the evacuation of the building, which houses about 100 people.
An unspecified number of people were injured before firefighters extinguished the flames, the emergency service said in a preliminary report.
