Madrid, March 1. The Formula 1 World Championship will be the longest in history, with a total of 23 Grand Prix in a calendar to which that of Qatar returns, to which the new version of that of Las Vegas (Nevada, United States) is incorporated and which will continue without visiting China.

The championship begins this weekend with the Bahrain Grand Prix and will end on November 26 with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The Qatar Grand Prix, which was first and last held in 2021, returns to the World Championship in 2023 and will be held again at the Lusail International Circuit on October 8.

Also new from 2022 is the arrival of the Las Vegas Grand Prix, which opens November 18 as the penultimate event of a new street circuit located on the Strip in the gambling capital. Prize held in Las Vegas was the 1982 Caesars Palace Grand Prix.

With the arrival of Las Vegas, the United States will host three races of the 2023 World Cup, joining the Miami (May 7) and United States (October 22) Grands Prix. This already happened in the 1982 campaign.

A notable absence is that of the French Grand Prix, at the Paul Ricard circuit in Le Castellet, which will not feature on the 2023 calendar after returning in 2018, ten years later, and only being absent in 2020 due to of the coronavirus pandemic.

In 2023, the Chinese Grand Prix was due to take place, absent from the event since the last time, in 2019, but it was canceled for the fourth consecutive year due to the continuing difficulties posed by the covid-19 pandemic in the country. .Asian, and has not been replaced on the schedule.
