The red and white of the Peruvian flag will be projected on July 28 at Niagara Falls and the National Tower of Canada, known internationally as CN Tower, in commemoration of the 200 years of the Independence of Peru.
The famous falls, which receive 30 million visitors a year, located on the border between Canada and the United States, will glow red and white for 15 minutes. The lighting of lights for the Bicentennial of Peru is a courtesy of The Niagara Falls Illumination Board and can be seen at 10 pm Toronto time and 9 pm Lima time from this link.
Added to this activity is the special lighting of the emblematic CN Tower, located in Toronto. As scheduled, the iconic tower will display the colors of Peru from approximately 8:44 pm – Toronto time, from sunset until the end of the day; and in Lima, starting at 7:44 pm The show can be seen through the tower’s website https://www.cntower.ca/en-ca/home.html#earthcams.
These tributes, which are made thanks to the efforts made by the Consulate General of Peru in Toronto, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry and the Special Bicentennial Project (PEB), are part of the set of activities for the 200 years of our Republic that contribute to the efforts made by our country in promoting national culture to people of various nationalities who visit these tourist sites.

The Special Bicentennial Project and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs have been coordinating the details of the International Bicentennial Agenda, which includes exhibitions, the Peruvian presence at international festivals and fairs, various digital events, and involvement initiatives of the Peruvian community residing abroad.
