The newspaper La República was able to access these messages which appear in the file opened against the detainee Jorge Hernández Fernández, “The Spaniard”; two former heads of the General Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior (Digimin) and two other citizens.

Thanks to these coordinations, Hernandez Fernandez intended to acquire the Israeli technological software Pegasus to spy on the national prosecutor, Patricia Benavides, and the colonel of the National Police of Peru Harvey Colchado Huamaní, as well as other opponents of his government.

Another indication that would prove the intention to buy Pegasus is that El Español sent Carlos Barba to the international fair in Panama, where this product would be sold.
