Tropical storm Pamela , around 10:15 p.m. this Monday, is located 435 kilometers (km) southwest of Playa Pérula, Jalisco, and 645 km south-southwest of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, as reported by the National Meteorological Service in its official count.

With maximum sustained winds of 110 kilometers per hour (km / h), gusts of 140 km / h and displacement towards the north-northwest at 13 km / h.

It is expected that during this Tuesday it will strengthen to a category 2 hurricane, heading for Sinaloa.

The National Meteorological Service (SMN) of the National Water Commission (Conagua), in coordination with the Miami National Hurricane Center, maintains a hurricane prevention zone from Bahía Tempehuaya to Escuinapa, Sinaloa; tropical storm prevention zone from Bahía Tempehuaya to Altata, Sinaloa, as well as from Escuinapa, Sinaloa, to Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco, including María Islands, as well as a tropical storm watch zone from Los Barriles to Cabo San Lucas, Baja Southern California.

The cloud bands of Pamela will maintain very strong punctual rains (from 50 to 75 millimeters [mm]) in Jalisco, Nayarit and Sinaloa, and strong (from 25 to 50 mm) in localities of Baja California Sur, Colima, Durango and Michoacán, as well like wind with gusts of 50 to 60 km / h and waves of 1 to 2 meters high on the coasts of Colima and Jalisco.

COVID-19 REPORT

The Ministry of Health (SSa) , through the daily technical statement, reported that this Monday, October 11, 141 deaths and 2,007 new cases of COVID-19 were registered in the country.

With these figures , 3,725,242 infections and 282,227 deaths caused by SARS-CoV-2 were accumulated nationwide . In addition to the above, 523,037 suspected cases, 6,663,997 negative cases, 35,782 estimated assets and 10,912,276 people studied since the health contingency began.

According to the demographic data of the epidemic, confirmed cases show a predominance in women with 50.1 percent . Meanwhile, the general median age is 39 years.

The agency also noted that the City of Mexico and the State of Mexico are the states with the highest estimated number of active cases (with date of the last 14 days positivity rate, by entity and epidemiological week). At the national level, 35,782 infections of this type are calculated.
