A person who was injured in a fire registered this Saturday at the Coronado hotel in Barcelona, has died this Sunday at the Clínic hospital in Barcelona, where he remained admitted, the Mossos d’Esquadra have informed GLM. This is a 44-year-old man residing in Zaragoza who had moved to Barcelona for business reasons.
The fire has left at least two other people seriously injured. It originated around 12:55 p.m. in a room on the third floor of the hotel for reasons that are now being investigated by the police.
The final balance of the Emergency Medical System (SEM), a service that treated the hotel’s wounded with 14 units, is nine people affected by the event, one in critical condition, two serious, two less serious and four minor who received the high on the spot.
