A fire this morning in the town of Alcalá de Henares has claimed the life of a 72-year-old man, while others 21 people were injured, two of them serious as a result of smoke and flames.

Has happened in the Hernán Cortés street number three of the Madrid municipality, and there they moved until seven fire crews from the Community of Madrid, who managed to rescue several neighbors from the facade. Several mobile UVIS, ambulances and members of the Local Police of Alcalá and the National Police.

Among the wounded are a 60-year-old woman, transferred to the Alcalá Hospital in serious condition and intubated due to smoke inhalation. The other seriously injured is a 20-year-old, admitted to La Paz for smoke inhalation and burns to the face.

Four hospitalized in total

Likewise, two other people were admitted in community hospitals, although with a milder character. A 93-year-old woman with a moderate prognosis for poisoning due to smoke inhalation and a 55-year-old male due to the same cause.

The rest of the neighbors, a total of 17, were treated on the spot by Summa 112 by mild inhalation and did not require hospitalization.
