Political force More Madrid has announced that this Friday will present in the Ordinary Plenary of Villa de Vallecas an initiative for the Madrid City Council to incorporate a clause in its agreement with Rayo Vallecano that ensure “decent and competitive conditions” for the women’s team.

It is not the first time that the Madrid political force has taken sides in favor of the franjirroja female staff, since already in the month of December presented an urgent motion for the renewal of the agreement between the consistory and the club —With an annual extension, between the Puente Municipal Board and the Rayo Vallecano Foundation for the payment in kind of the municipal fee for the transfer of the land of the Sports City— incorporate a clause that would oblige “the economic support in competitive conditions of Rayo Vallecano Femenino”.

That urgency motion was rejected by the Popular Party, Ciudadanos and Vox, and Más Madrid announced that they would try again in January. This Friday the 22nd they will present again the initiative to incorporate this clause and will propose “The organization of a space for the women’s Rayo Vallecano with a center for elite athletes, aid for material and catering and remuneration for the entire staff”.

Releases of the male and female Rayo and the quarry

And it is that the Vallecano club has been involved in controversies for weeks over the conditions that have denounced so much its female template -Turkey sandwich included-, such as the coaches and members of the quarry, and even the first male squad, which released a statement on Saturday, January 16, explaining that the players felt “helpless.”
