On the morning of Saturday 25 February, the Line 9 of the Metro Public Transport System (STC) de Mexico presented breakdowns for which users had to be expelled and there was temporary service at some stations. Several of the passengers shared on social media how they had to walk on the tracks due to the intermittences experienced by the system.

Around noon, the official Metro Twitter account informed users that a temporary service from Chabacano station to Pantitlán in the so-called coffee line, This is due to a power system overhaul.
