Referring to Latin America, he said each nation has made “first-rate contributions to universal culture”. However, he blamed “demagoguery and incapacity” for his failure.

“You can say something similar about many Latin American countries. These countries have also made first-rate contributions to universal culture, but in the political and economic field, due to the demagoguery and incapacity learn from the mistakes of the past, they have regressed, and for this reason millions of Latin Americans live in misery and despair,” he mentioned.

He also questioned that some governments of other countries are intervening and giving “lessons” to Peru. And he even said that they “intend” to destroy democracy so that it looks like a dictatorship compared to other countries. In turn, he described the efforts of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), Gustavo Petro, Alberto Fernandez and Luis Arce Catacora as “populists”.

“How ironic that some of the governments of these countries believe they must today give lessons in Peru! And, what is worse, they are trying to destroy our democracy to align our country with the dictatorships of Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua, or with the demagogic and populist governments of Mexico, Colombia, Argentina or Bolivia. No, the ideas and models that Peru should be inspired by are those that have led countries with far fewer resources than ours to be among the most modern and prosperous places on the planet,” he said. he asserted in his speech.
