The petition was organized by Jewish organizations and civil society figures
Around 6,000 people have already signed up to a manifesto Against Terrorism and For Peace, organized by Jewish organizations and civil society figures following the Hamas attacks on Israel.
The petition, published in several newspapers on Tuesday (17), began with 200 signatures.
“There is no argument to justify the indiscriminate kidnapping, rape, torture and death of innocent people, children, young people, women, the elderly, people taken by surprise and unable to defend themselves,” says the text, signed, among others, by businessman Abilio Diniz, actress Bruna Lombardi, former Central Bank president Henrique Meirelles and TV presenter Luciano Huck.
According to the manifesto, “these heinous crimes committed by groups such as Hamas, Al Qaeda, Islamic State, among others, leave no doubt about their terrorist identities”.
