The SSCBC issued a statement regarding this fact, in which it specified that, according to the information provided by the authority of the U.S. Marshals, the now detainee was issued an arrest warrant, which is active in his country of origin, for the crime of sexual abuse of minors.
With the information provided by the US authority, the agents of the Mexican border city began looking for Michael “N”, locating and capturing him in downtown Tijuana.
Subsequently, the case was made available to the INM, which began the deportation process and thus handed it over to the authority claiming it.
The Baja California Security Secretariat stressed that the relationship and coordinated work between the authorities on both sides of the border was important for the aforementioned operation to be successful.
