BERLIN, Feb 16 (Reuters) – Lufthansa plans to cancel 34,000 flights over the summer half-year, German business weekly WirtschaftsWoche reported on Thursday, adding that the number could rise with the addition of cancellations of its Eurowings units and SWISS.

“Lufthansa has adjusted the schedule for summer 2023 flights from Frankfurt and Munich,” the newspaper said, based on information from a Lufthansa spokesperson.

The exact scope could not be determined “since more daily cancellations can always be added”, the source told WirtschaftsWoche.
