HOUSTON (AP) — Zach LaVine scored 36 points, DeMar DeRozan had 27, and the Chicago Bulls relied on a hot fourth-quarter offensive run to beat the Houston Rockets 119-111 on Saturday.
Chicago trailed by four points midway through the fourth quarter before mounting an unanswered 13-point offense to make it 115-106 with two minutes left.
DeRozan, who had seven rebounds and five assists, scored the first four points of the winning streak, while LaVine added the final four.
LaVine’s second layup of this stretch came down an alley-oop, on a DeRozan pass. Patrick Beverley, a former Houston player, capped off the offense with a 3-pointer.
It was the second straight win for the Bulls, who had an 18-point, 11-rebound contribution from Nikola Vucevic. Beverley finished with 10 rebounds, while LaVine added nine boards and five assists.
