“They’re talking from a spaceship.” The sentence of the governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillofpronounced at the opening of the sessions and addressed to the opposition, raised the climate of a speech in which the President confirmed that another term will go. It was a discursive exhibition that had a round trip with the Juntos legislators. With the presence of pro-government mayors and one from the opposition –Diego Valencia,of Tres de Febrero-, thanked the President Alberto Fernandez for the resources sent, but contrary to what the opening of the sessions was before the Congress, the provincial president said that Cristina Kirchner was proscribed. A separate paragraph was the dispute with the main referents of Together Diego Santilli and Facundo Manes for the places allocated to the ceremony.
of the brand “Right to the future“, that the government of Buenos Aires seeks to install, Kicillof devoted a good part of his speech – which began at nine hours and a quarter after the anthem interpreted by Nahuel Penissi– take stock of the three years of its management. A kind of electoral platform. “We governed closely, with honesty, austerity, seriousness and commitment. We are not here to last, we are here to transform and give the Province the well-being, identity, development and integration project it so badly needs,” he said.

In various passages of his speech, which lasted nearly three hours, Kicillof involved himself in discussions with opposition, who from the benches was responsible for photographing the boxes in which the trade unionists were Hugo Moyano (truckers), Roberto Baradel (Suteba)Oscar DeIsasi (ATE) and Fabiola Mosquera (UPCN), questioning that the deputies Santilli and Manes did not have assigned seats in the boxes intended for the opposition and that, together with Valenzuela, they ended up watching the speech on television, in the president’s office of the bloc of deputies of the Ensemble and candidate for the post of governor, Maxi Abad. During the legislative assembly, Abad had some crossings with Kicillof.
The controversy at the scene took off when, during the speech, the government of Buenos Aires reported that Santilli, Manes and Valenzuela had assigned spaces in the bedroom, “like all national deputies”, broadcasting a photo with three empty chairs inside the enclosure. “They leave aside the national deputies and the mayors of Juntos in the Legislative Assembly. In Kicillof’s democracy, only his friends applaud him from the balcony,” complained Senator PRO. Christian Gribaudo in the networks, attaching a photo of one of the spaces occupied by trade union leaders.
“Governor Axel Kicillof has turned the complex into a base unit,” said the Civic Coalition MP, Marisel Etchecoin Moro; while its PRO pair, Axel Campbell, was responsible for defending the management of Maria Eugenia Vidal: “It was he who recovered 5 Co-participation points for the Province, who created the SAME and renovated 150 guards and 300 health centres. With María Eugenia Vidal, the State was put in place in your neighborhood, the Student Ticket and they fought like never before against the mafias and drug trafficking”, he said and, also in a key election, noted that “this is the last thing the people of Buenos Aires are going to have to listen to because they know the truth and they won’t vote for him again.
The governor thanked the presence of union representatives, with whom before the speech he held a meeting at the Salón Dorado de la Gobernación to formalize the salary agreement for the first installment of 2023: a 40% increase in three installments with renegotiation in August. Moyano left before the end of the speech.
In the first tray of boxes, the group of mayors of the Frente de Todos who traveled to La Plata also applauded. Mayra Mendoza (Quilmes) Fernando Espinoza (Murder), Jorge Ferraresi (Avellaneda) Federico Achaval (Florence Varela), Karina Menendez (Merlo), Andres Watson (Florence Varela) faundo says (Navarre), Gaston Granados (Ezeiza), Juan Jose Mussi (Berazategui), Leonard Boto (lujan), Gustave Barrera (Villa Gesell), german lake (Alberti), David Angueira (Indian tip), Juan-Manuel Alvarez (General Peace), Nicolas Mantegazza (Saint Vincent), carlos ramil (Escobar), Mario Dry (Ensenada), Fabien Cagliardi (Berisso) and Marisa Fassi (Cañuelas) supported the governor. Espinoza even mobilized the militancy that followed the speech from outside the legislature.
“I also want to thank the Frente de Todos of the province of Buenos Aires, the mayors, the legislators, the leaders with and without institutional responsibility and above all the activists, for having accompanied and always accompanied our government in such complex moments”, Kicillof said. SO once again thanked the mayors of all political spaces when he detailed the work carried out thanks to the Municipal Infrastructure Fund. “They work every day to improve the quality of life for the people of Buenos Aires,” he noted.
The mayors also cheered when Kicillof asked the Nation’s Supreme Court of Justice about the vice president’s legal status. On one of the boxes was a sign reading “CFK President 2023 Axel Gobernador”. It was the only inscription that was seen inside the enclosure. Outside there was a little more color, but less than expected since the original session was suspended last Wednesday following the massive blackout.
In this last speech, Kicillof officially launched his re-election. In various passages, he referred to the election year, the campaign and the future. He first summoned the opposition:I want to invite you to form a commission for the permanent claim of the resources of the people of Buenos Aires and of the 135 municipalities, the one who governs governs”, he said and asked that this agenda “be at the center of the next electoral campaign”. The view is fixed on the resources that the government receives from the City. “There is a terrible inequality between needs and resources. In the year 2023, the city of Buenos Aires will have resources equivalent to almost 700,000 dollars per inhabitant, while the province of Buenos Aires will have only 380,000 dollars. It’s almost half,” he complained.
“I choose that during the campaign we can have a deep political debate, devoid of shortcuts and empty slogans, I choose that all of us who aspire or aspire to govern this province commit to defending their interestsI choose to condemn violence and hatred, I choose full democracy and without proscriptions”, in reference to Cristina Kirchner.
After the speech, the government minister, Cristina Alvarez Rodriguez he did not hesitate to favor the re-election of Kicillof. “We believe that is the most qualified for this step and above all to consolidate the necessary investments and projects,” he said. Almost in the same direction, the Minister of Social Development of the Nation, Victoria Toulouse Peace. “He is a governor who He left no doubt about his re-election and where he wants to go in the next four years“, noted the person in charge close to the president who, questioned on the intention that she will dispute a PAS with the provincial president, assured: “I am extremely respectful and cash the management of Governor Kicillof. We are working for the Frente de Todos table to define whether or not there will be a STEP at the national level and in the province of Buenos Aires. This definition is beyond me.
Just as the national government was represented at the opening of the Buenos Aires sessions with the figure of Tolosa Paz, personalities from the Christian network were also seen inside the hall. In addition to the ministers of Buenos Aires who are part of La Cámpora, like Andrés “Cuervo” Larroque (Community Development), Daniela Vilar (Environment) or Nicolás Kreplak (Health), the Treasury Prosecutor, Carlos Zannini and even the vice-president’s sister, Giselle Fernandez enclosure monitoring the speech that ended with a chant that struggled to fit the rhyme: “It’s for Axel…re-election.”
