Finally, after his speech was suspended due to the blackout last week, the Governor of Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, inaugurates today the ordinary sessions of the legislature of Buenos Aires. And he does it with a strong criticism of justice and with political definitions in the midst of the internal Frente de Todos in the face of the elections.
“Today is my last opening of sessions, or in any case the last of this first stage, it will be time and the people of the province who will decide”, declared the provincial president who, thus, hinted that he will ask for election again, while a sector of the Frente de Todos seeks to strengthen his name for a national candidacy.
Regarding the Supreme Court, Kicillof described as “embarrassing” the decision that benefited the city of Buenos Aires regarding the request of the government of Buenos Aires for the federal co-participation funds that had been reduced by decision of the national government.
At the start of his speech, the governor repudiated the attack on Cristina Kirchner. “It was an unprecedented grave event, condemned by all of society and leaders, with a few unforgivable exceptions, it is something that must hurt those of us who love democracy,” he said.
In turn, he referred to the judicial situation of the vice-president: “Peronism has a long history of persecution. We see it today with the ban on Cristina. This fact leads to a worrying and inadmissible deterioration of the democratic quality”.
