PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce tweeted Monday that he is returning for his 13th season in the NFL.

Kelce was the heart of the Eagles and one of the best players in his position in the league. He faced his brother Travis Kelce, who is a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, in the last Super Bowl. The Chiefs outscored the Eagles 38-35.

Kelce was a durable player and with the Super Bowl he reached 149 consecutive games. Kelce, 35, was selected in the sixth round of the 2011 draft and was named an All-Pro five times.

“I’ve been overthinking if it makes sense to play another season,” Kelce wrote. “After discussing it with my wife and many friends and family, I have decided to return for another year. “.

The Eagles responded with a Twitter post from Kelce wearing a Batman mask he wore during a game last season. Kelce is a free agent and cannot officially sign with the Eagles until Wednesday. Philadelphia also posted a tweet with a video saying Kelce is back.
