The Spanish Jon Rahm will not play this week the tournament that was to be held in La Quinta, California (USA), after suffering physical discomfort during its preparation.

Rahm had confirmed his participation in The American Express, but three days before the start of the tournament, he decided to withdraw as a precaution after feeling some slight muscular discomfort.
The world number 2 was one of the main favorites of the Californian tournament, which he already won three years ago.
“On Friday I felt some discomfort in the gym and although I could have played the tournament, when I play I always do it to win, so I preferred not to force,” said the golfer to ‘Ten-Golf’.
Next week Barrika (Vizcaya) is enrolled in the Open Farmers Insurance, where he achieved his first win on the PGA circuit.
