In the publication of the Armed Forces, they attached a statement in which they detailed how the attack was carried out in the urban area of the aforementioned commune.
“During the last hours, the troops of the mechanized cavalry group Revéis Pizarro, while carrying out their constitutional mission, protecting the civilian population in the urban area of the municipality of Saravena, Arauca, they were attacked by snipers; During this event, one of our soldiers was injured,” they reported.
In the letter, they indicated that the young soldier is being treated at a local health center in this eastern Colombian town and they blamed the ELN guerrillas of the attack.
“Immediately, first aid is given to our injured soldiers and he is transferred to the nearest hospital. According to a medical report, his state of health is reserved.
